Best results for you with least side effects are obtained with proper preparation of your skin. Our dermatologists will assist you through a pre-care process, which may include:
⚙️ Pigmentation Treatment How It WorksWe target pigmentation at its source—excess melanin production—VK Allure Derma Clinic (ECR & Kilpauk) with the finest combination of latest treatments:
Laser Pigmentation Removal (Q-switched Nd:YAG)
Breaks down excess melanin in the skin’s deeper layers using high-intensity, controlled pulses of light.
Reduces the pigment to tiny particles that the body sheds naturally.
Chemical Peels
Med-grade acids (glycolic, TCA, or Cosmelan) exfoliate the surface melanin layers disturbing them.
Produces cell turnover and surface brightening of the skin.
PRP Microneedling (add-on treatment)
Produces micro-trauma to initiate collagen stimulation and enable deeper penetration of pigment-reducing serums.
PRP triggers healing and regeneration of the skin.
Topical Lightening Agents
Topical creams (tranexamic acid, hydroquinone, etc.) are applied along with clinic treatments for additional effect and maintenance.
These treatments block the discharge of melanin, they remove existing pigmentation, and stimulate skin regeneration, resulting in smoother, brighter, and clearer skin in the long run.
Avoid exposure to the sun directly for a minimum of 7–10 days post-treatment.
Soothing and Healing Creams
We will prescribe healing creams or anti-inflammatory creams to heal quickly and calm the skin.
Avoid Harsh Products
No scrubs, exfoliants, actives, or retinoids for a minimum of 5–7 days.
Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizers as recommended by a dermatologist.
Do Not Pick or Peel
Peeling and flaking will happen—do not pick at the skin.
Allow it to peel by itself and do not allow hyperpigmentation to set in.
Follow-Up Sessions
Depending on the type of pigmentation you have and how your skin is responding, you might need 3–6 sessions with an interval of 3–4 weeks.
Review sessions are scheduled to schedule follow-up treatments.
